Chapter 3. KVM restrictions and support

The KVM hypervisor requires a processor with the Intel-VT or AMD-V virtualization extensions.

To verify whether your processor supports the virtualization extensions and for information on enabling the virtualization extensions if they are disabled, refer to Section 32.6, “Verifying virtualization extensions”.
