Chapter 4. Deprecated features

With this release, Global Floating Action Button is disabled by default. The Global Header provides equivalent and improved navigation capabilities, and customers are encouraged to use the Global Header instead.

Red Hat Developer Hub (RHDH) is changing the support level for selected authentication modules. To optimize performance and customization, RHDH will transition these statically included modules into dynamic plugins in a future release. In an upcoming release, the community-supported authentication providers listed below will no longer be included in the default configuration.

If you use any of these providers, you will need to take manual intervention to maintain authentication functionality. In a future release, these static modules will be removed, and you will be required to add the corresponding dynamic plugin module to your dynamic plugin configuration.

With this release, the following plugin has moved from Technology Preview to Community support:

You can continue to use this plugin as a legacy embedded wrapper until you migrate to the oci:// reference in your configuration. For example, oci://ghcr.io/redhat-developer/rhdh-plugin-export-overlays/backstage-community-plugin-acr:<tag>.
