Monitoring and managing system status and performance

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10

Optimizing system throughput, latency, and power consumption

Red Hat Customer Content Services

Abstract

Monitor, analyze, and improve the performance of your RHEL system by using tools such as TuneD for performance optimization, perf for monitoring hardware and software events, and Performance Co-Pilot (PCP) for system performance analysis. Review system activity, log and visualize performance data, and adjust key settings, for example, disk schedulers and power usage, by collecting performance metrics and configuring the system for your specific workload. Improve system efficiency by applying techniques for real-time CPU profiling, analyzing memory allocation, identifying performance bottlenecks, managing power consumption effectively, and detecting issues such as false sharing.
