1. April 23, 2026

1.1. Additions

  • Skills Paths

    • Catalog - The Skills Path catalog now uses the new offering cards. These cards provide access to the skills path landing pages and information about the path’s duration.

    • Landing pages - Each skills path now has its own landing page. Each page provides an overview, prerequisites, and metadata for the offerings in the path. On the Offerings tab, users can see all included offerings and their current progress. Users can enroll and unenroll from the landing page, and the URL can be shared with users for direct access to a skills path.

1.2. Fixes

  • Live virtual class reporting Reports that are generated with a user who attended a live virtual class will include the "hours invested" as a total of the actual class time. This is calculated from start time to end time for each class day.
  • Custom Skills Paths Managers can once again access the Skills Paths catalog to create custom skills paths for their teams.

2. April 1, 2026

2.1. Additions

  • Learning Assistant The new AI-powered Learning Assistant is now available to Red Hat Learning Subscription Standard and Premium customers. This set of tools is accessible from each self-paced course provided in English, and engaged through course text selections made by the user.

    A video demonstration of the learning assistant is available to provide learners with a walk-through tutorial. In addition, tooltips and guided help is available to users when on the course page.

    The Learning assistant will assess the text the user highlighted within each RHLS Course, and provide the following:

    • Text-based summary of the selection
    • List of recommended Red Hat Training courses that further explore the selected topic
    • Description of why the recommendations were provided

2.2. Fixes

  • Red Hat Learning Community With the retirement of the Learning Community on March 31, all references to the Community have been removed from the Learning Subscription:

    • Main navigation
    • Content syndication on each course
    • Community links on course landing pages
    • Redirection for downloading the old Certificate of Attendance (COA) pdfs. COAs are now downloaded directly via RHLS

3. January 1, 2026

3.1. Red Hat Learning Subscription Course

The latest Red Hat Learning Subscription has been released to the Learning Platform. Red Hat Learning Subscription Course provides 1-year access to a single, self-paced Red Hat course, along with 1 enrollment in the live, virtual, instructor-led class of that same course. You can study at your own pace and reinforce your knowledge in an interactive, instructor-led session.

This tier also includes one certification exam (with the option to retake the exam if you do not pass), up to 100 hours of hands-on lab time, and access to expert chat for real-time guidance. Course tier is ideal for people who want to build expertise in a specific Red Hat technology.

  • Home page that shows the user’s progress through the SP version of their course, as well as invites them to schedule the live virtual class.

  • Full Catalog that shows off the entire Red Hat Learning Subscription Portfolio. Red Hat Learning Subscription Course users can only launch the course they purchased and Tech Overviews, so a new filter was added for users to easily show just the content they can consume.

  • The new landing page provides a way for students to launch the SP version of the course, as well as schedule a live virtual class. Red Hat Learning Subscription course users have access to the entire Open Enrollment schedule of live virtual classes for the course they purchased.   • New My activity section of the home page: Provides quick access to the last offering in progress, and shows a list of scheduled live events, such as exams.

  • New Catalog cards: Relevant information such as duration and product lines are added to the smaller cards to help users choose the right offering for them. Filters and new pagination help users target appropriate content quicker and easier.

3.3. Fixes

  • Subscription metric bar - Users will now see a homepage metric bar for each subscription they have. This provides details about the days remaining, lab hours used, and exams used per subscription in the event the users have overlapping subscriptions.

  • Red Hat Learning Subscription Course, Self-paced, and OPEN partner users will also see the relevant bar on the individual course page. This will help clarify the amount of lab hours used per individual course subscription.

4. November 4, 2025

4.1. Red Hat Learning Subscription Premium

  • New Live virtual classes - Premium users now have the ability to schedule live virtual classes that are delivered in 2026. Live virtual classes are the full Red Hat Training course with a live instructor.

    • Each course in the catalog has a landing page, where users can choose to schedule the live virtual class.
    • The Scheduling page includes more classes from all regions at more times, and in more languages.
    • Filtering and scheduling table includes:

      • Class start date and end date
      • Instructional language
      • Whether the class is currently guaranteed to run
    • Users have the ability to reschedule or cancel their class outside of two weeks before the start date.
  • New Home page - My activity section provides quick access to the last course in progress and the user’s scheduled events. The Live events component shows your scheduled exams, live sessions, and live virtual classes.

  • Catalog - The Catalog page features a new card for each offering type. Filters and pagination help users target appropriate content quicker and easier. The new Course card features the details for both the self-paced and live virtual class modes of the course.

  • Live sessions catalog - Features the new live sessions card, with access to information about the Premium sessions still available in 2025.

  • Landing pages - Enhanced landing pages include an Overview tab for course details, a Live sessions tab for scheduling Premium sessions (2025), and a Live class tab for scheduling live virtual classes (2026). In addition the progress indicator for the SP course was added to the Overview tab.

4.2. Fixes

  • Early Access - Removed the Early access button from the main menu, and included it as a delivery format in the Catalog filters.
  • Footer Terms and Conditions - Fixed the links on the Terms and Policy links in the Red Hat Learning Subscription footer, so they correctly link to redhat.com policy pages.
  • Course videos - resolved a bug where changing SP course versions was not also changing the videos on the course pages. The videos are now aligned with each course version.

5. September 9, 2025

5.1. Additions

  • Red Hat Learning Subscription Catalog - Filter counts for Red Hat Learning Subscription offerings now update based on other filters selected. Students now have the ability to see exactly how many courses there are for specific products, topics, and other available filters. In addition, the selected filters are available for reference at the top of the offering list.

  • Video playback - The last visited timestamp is now being stored, so returning to a video will pick up where it left off. This applies to Technical Overviews, Courses, and Lessons.

5.2. Fixes

  • Management Reporting - Resolved an issue where managers that were invited by their organization were not receiving the acceptance terms. The alert is now available for invited managers on their Red Hat Learning Subscription home page.

6. July 29, 2025

6.1. Additions

  • Red Hat Learning Subscription Catalog Sorting: The Red Hat Learning Subscription Catalog now includes options for users to sort the filtered list of offerings. This can be done by Offering Title, Course Code, or publish date.

  • Red Hat Learning Subscription Course Landing Pages: All Courses, Lessons, and Technical Overviews now come with a landing page:

    • When a course has never been launched, users will first go to the landing page
    • Details about the course will be provided, to assist learners with choosing the appropriate course to launch
    • Users can choose to "Launch" the course from the landing page
    • If a course is in progress, users will be brought to the last visited course page by default, and not the landing page
    • The landing page details can be revisited now on the "Overview" tab of the course.
  • Course Table of Contents: As a result of customer feedback, we have added the option for students to add a fixed table of contents to the left or right side of the course screen! This provides easy access to jump between pages while also giving student quick access to understand where they are in the context of the whole course. This can be enabled within the Settings of the Control bar by selecting: Table of contents mode = Sidebar, and choosing a Sidebar position - left or right.

6.2. Fixes

  • Global Search: Streamlined the global search to make it easier for users to find content.

    • Removed the ability to select the type of search - Catalog/Skills Paths/Text within courses from the main search, and only included it after the search terms as tabs
    • Saves the last 5 search terms for quick/easy researching items without retyping

7. June 17, 2025

7.1. Additions

  • Comprehensive Reviews are now a selectable Delivery Format in the Catalog.

7.2. Fixes

  • Red Hat Learning Subscription Trial - In Progress Trial courses will only show in the "My Progress" widget on the home page, and no longer show in the "Available in your trial subscription" widget.
  • Breadcrumbs in the Red Hat Learning Subscription courses will only show the source, course title, and chapter. The section title has been removed as it is redundant with the Control bar.
  • Selecting the "Don’t ask again" button on the SP survey suppresses that survey for that course, and does not show it again to users in the platform.
