Red Hat SummitChapter 2. Client development prerequisites
The following prerequisites are required for developing clients to use with Streams for Apache Kafka.
- You have a Red Hat account.
- You have a Kafka cluster running in Streams for Apache Kafka.
- Kafka brokers are configured with listeners for secure client connections.
- Topics have been created for your cluster.
- You have an IDE to develop and test your client.
- A supported JDK is installed. For more information, see the Streams for Apache Kafka Release Notes.
