Abstract
This is an instructional guide for testing migration of the Red Hat OpenStack Platform Networking service (neutron) from the Modular Layer 2 plug-in with Open vSwitch mechanism driver to Modular Layer 2 plug-in with Open Virtual Networking. There is not production support for OVN migration in RHOSP 17.0 because ML2/OVN is the RHOSP 17.0 mechanism driver and there is no support for upgrades to RHOSP 17.0. Therefore, almost all RHOSP 17.0 deployments will be ML2/OVN. The OVN migration tools are provided in RHOSP 17.0 solely for testing of OVN migrations. Do not perform a migration in a RHOSP 17.0 production envirornment.
