Abstract

This document provides information about uninstalling Builds.

Chapter 1. Uninstalling Builds

As a cluster administrator, delete the default custom resources (CRs) and then uninstall the Operator. This completely removes the Builds for Red Hat OpenShift Operator and all associated Builds components from your cluster.

1.1. Deleting the Builds components and custom resources

To uninstall Builds, delete the Builds custom resource definitions (CRDs) and associated components.

Prerequisites

  • You are logged in to the OpenShift Container Platform cluster as an administrator.

Procedure

  1. In the Administrator perspective of the web console, navigate to AdministrationCustom Resource Definition.
  2. In the Filter by name box, enter shipwright.io to search for the Builds for Red Hat OpenShift Operator CRs.
  3. Click CRD Config to see the Custom Resource Definition Details page.
  4. Click the Actions drop-down list, and select Delete Custom Resource Definition.

    Note

    Deleting the CRs deletes the Builds controller and all the related components and tasks on the cluster.

  5. Click Delete to confirm the deletion of the CRs.

Verification

  • On the Custom Resource Definition page, verify that CRDs related to the Builds for Red Hat OpenShift Operator are not displayed when you filter by shipwright.io.

1.2. Uninstalling the builds operator

You can uninstall the Builds for Red Hat OpenShift Operator by using the Administrator perspective in the web console.

Prerequisites

  • You are logged in to the OpenShift Container Platform cluster as an administrator.
  • You have deleted the Builds components and custom resources.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to OperatorsOperatorHub.
  2. In the OperatorHub page, search for the Builds for Red Hat OpenShift Operator by using the Filter by keyword box.
  3. Click the Builds for Red Hat OpenShift Operator tile. The Operator tile indicates that the Operator is installed.
  4. In the Builds for Red Hat OpenShift Operator description page, click Uninstall.

Verification

  1. Go to OperatorsInstalled Operators.
  2. Verify that Builds for Red Hat OpenShift Operator is not listed on the Installed Operators page.
