Part III. Configuring and viewing your data

After adding your OpenShift Container Platform and AWS data, cost management displays your cost data by integration, as well as the cost and usage associated with running your OpenShift Container Platform clusters. If you are using an AWS savings plan for the EC2 instances running OpenShift nodes, cost management defaults to using the savings plan cost.

Note

The cost of your Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS (ROSA) subscription is included in the AWS data and Red Hat Lightspeed cost management will automatically distribute it to your workloads. You do not need to add or track it manually. However, due to limitations in the data that AWS accepts from the Red Hat Subscriptions service, for Red Hat OpenShift on AWS Hosted Control Plane (ROSA HCP) subscriptions, you must create a cost model that includes some rates, as explained in the ROSA HCP clusters may not show their full cost in Red Hat Insights cost management knowledge base article. Red Hat is working to resolve this issue.

On the cost management Overview page, your cost data is sorted into OpenShift and Infrastructure tabs. Select Perspective to toggle through different views of your cost data.

You can also use the global navigation menu to view additional details about your costs by cloud provider.
