低资源环境和低配置硬件环境会带来许多在云计算中不存在的挑战。MicroShift 允许您通过以下方式解决边缘设备的问题：

  • 运行您在云中运行的相同 Kubernetes 工作负载，但在边缘运行。
  • 克服最小系统资源的操作挑战。
  • 解决严重网络约束的环境挑战，如低速连接或无连接。
  • 通过在边缘设备上直接安装系统镜像，满足在非常难于访问的位置中的挑战。
  • 构建并与边缘优化操作系统（如 Red Hat Enterprise Linux for Edge）集成。
