Chapter 3. Log in with auto-user registration


New users on a Red Hat account in your organization are prompted to complete the registration process when they first log in.

3.1. Log in to create a new user account

You create a new user account with your organization when you first log in at Red Hat Customer Portal.

Prerequisites

  • Company single-sign on integration is enabled.
    See Using company single sign-on integration .
  • Your organization’s account is enabled for auto-user registration.
  • You have a valid email with your organization.
  • You received information from your Organization Administrator with a link to click to complete auto-user registration.

Procedure

  1. Click the registration link provided by your Organization Administrator.
  2. You are redirected to your organization’s internal log in page. Log in with your organization credentials.
  3. You are redirected to the Red Hat new user registration form. Fill out all required fields and click Submit.

    Note

    In some instances, a new page may open that requires you to read and acknowledge the Red Hat account agreements in order to continue.

  4. Check your email for a Red Hat account verification link. Click the verification link in the email to complete your account set up.

Result

Your Red Hat user account is now successfully set up and registered with your organization’s corporate Red Hat account.

3.2. Confirm new user account is registered correctly

After setting up a new Red Hat user account with auto-user registration, the Organization Administrator may want to verify that the user account is registered with the correct organization.

Prerequisites

Procedure

  1. Navigate to Hybrid Cloud Console > Settings > User access > Users.
  2. Review the list of your organization’s users.

    • If the new user’s Red Hat account information appears in the list, the new user account has been registered with your organization’s account successfully.
