sos
is a tool you can use to collect troubleshooting information about a host. An sos report
will generate a detailed report with all the enabled plugins and data from the different components and applications in a system.
MicroShift is Technology Preview only. This Technology Preview software is not supported with Red Hat production service level agreements (SLAs) and might not be functionally complete. Red Hat does not recommend using MicroShift in production. Technology Preview provides early access to upcoming product features, enabling customers to test functionality and provide feedback during the development process.
Red Hat does not support an update path from the Technology Preview version to later versions of MicroShift. A new installation is necessary.

2.1. About MicroShift sos reports
The sos
tool is composed of different plugins that will help you gather information from different applications. A MicroShift specific plugin has been added from sos version 4.5.1, and it can gather the following data:
- MicroShift configuration and version
- YAML output for cluster-wide and system namespaced resources
- OVN-Kubernetes information
2.2. Gathering data from a MicroShift sos report
Prerequisites

You must have the
sos
package installed.
Procedure
- Log into the failing host as a root user.
Perform the debug report creation procedure by running the following command:
$ sos report --batch --clean --all-logs --profile microshift
Example output
