Chapter 1. Auto-user registration

New Red Hat user accounts can automatically be registered with their organization’s corporate Red Hat account via auto-user registration. The Organization Administrator allows users in the organization to register their user ID for access to the organization’s Red Hat account. Without auto-user registration enabled, the Organization Administrator is responsible for individually adding each user to the organization account.

The Organization Administrator enables auto-user registration after setting up identity provider integration. Identity provider integration must be active before enabling auto-user registration. If your identity provider integration is disabled, auto-user registration will also be disabled.

When auto-user registration is enabled, new users click on a provided auto-user registration link and complete the process to create and register their individual Red Hat accounts with their organization’s Red Hat account.

Note

Auto-user registration only impacts users creating Red Hat accounts for the first time. Pre-existing Red Hat account users will remain unaffected.
