  • OpenShift Container Storage 4.7 on IBM Power Systems and IBM Z infrastructure supports only block and file storage and not the object storage.
  • FIPS is not supported on OpenShift Container Storage 4.7 on IBM Power Systems and IBM Z infrastructure as FIPS itself is not supported on RHEL.
  • External mode is not applicable for IBM Power Systems and IBM Z infrastructure.
  • OpenShift Container Storage 4.7 on IBM Power Systems and IBM Z does not support Disconnected environment.
  • OpenShift Container Storage 4.7 on IBM Power Systems and IBM Z infrstructure does not support dynamic storage devices.
  • IBM Power Systems and IBM Z infrastructure doesn’t support the following new features that are introduced in OpenShift Container Storage 4.7 :

    1. Storage class encryption using an external Key Management System (KMS).
    2. Cluster wide encryption.
    3. Disaster Recovery.
    4. Flexible scaling of OpenShift Container Storage cluster.
