Chapter 38. Verifying the KIE Server installation

Verify that KIE Server is installed correctly.

Prerequisites

KIE Server is installed and configured.

Procedure

To start KIE Server, enter one of the following commands in the JWS_HOME/tomcat/bin directory:
- On Linux or UNIX-based systems:
```
$ ./startup.sh
```
- On Windows:
```
startup.bat
```
After a few minutes, review the files in the JWS_HOME/tomcat/logs directory and correct any errors.
To verify that KIE Server is working correctly, enter http://localhost:8080/kie-server/services/rest/server in a web browser.
Enter the user name and password stored in the tomcat-users.xml file.
