3.6. Saving Network Packet Filter Settings
After configuring the appropriate network packet filters for your situation, save the settings so they can be restored after a reboot. For
iptables
, enter the following command:
# iptables-save > /etc/sysconfig/iptables
To ensure the
iptables
service is started at system start, enter the following command:
# systemctl enable iptables
You can verify whether the changes persist on a reboot by running the following command and checking whether the changes remain:
# systemctl restart iptables
