If you want to experiment with changes to a running route, you can make the edits directly from the Fuse Integration perspective. The developer tools open the context file containing the route in the route editor. When your changes are saved, they take effect immediately.
The changes are made to the in-memory model of the running context, but are not persisted as part of their original project or any other project.
Note
If you want to save the changes permanently, you must use the
menu option.

To edit a running route:
- In the Fuse JMX Navigator tree, select the context containing the route(s) you want to edit.
- Right-click to open the context menu, and select.Route editor displays the context and all of its routes.
- Edit the route(s) as described in Part I, “Developing Applications”.
- When done, save the edited route.
- Select
to update the in-memory version of the routing context. Changes take effect immediately. - >Select
to save the edited routing context in a new context file.
