Chapter 1. Launching Red Hat Offline Knowledge Portal
Launch Red Hat Offline Knowledge Portal with the minimal default configuration.
Prerequisites
- An active Red Hat Satellite subscription
- Your Customer Portal, Red Hat Developer, or Registry Service Account credentials
- Internet access for the duration of the download
- Podman
Procedure
- To get your access key, navigate to the Red Hat Offline Knowledge Portal Access Key Generator in your browser, log in, and select the button.
To download Red Hat Offline Knowledge Portal from your terminal using Podman:
If needed, log in to
registry.redhat.iousing your Customer Portal, Red Hat Developer, or Registry Service Account credentials:podman login registry.redhat.io username: <username> Password: <password> Login Succeeded!
$ podman login registry.redhat.io username: <username> Password: <password> Login Succeeded!Copy to Clipboard Copied! Toggle word wrap Toggle overflow Pull the image:

To launch Red Hat Offline Knowledge Portal with

Verification
After waiting 30 seconds for the container to load, navigate to http://localhost:8080 or https://localhost:8443 and accept the self-signed cert.
Troubleshooting
If you are using Google Chrome and you are unable to load http://localhost:8080 or https://localhost:8443, use http://localhost4:8080 or http://127.0.0.1:8080. For more information, see the Red Hat Knowledgebase article Web pages on localhost do not load in a Google Chrome browser.
