4.149.1. RHBA-2011:1745 — libtirpc bug fix update

An updated libtirpc package that fixes one bug is now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.
The libtirpc package contains SunLib's implementation of transport independent RPC (TI-RPC) documentation. This includes a library required by programs in the nfs-utils and rpcbind packages.
Bug Fix

- Due to certain errors and missing code in libtirpc, user space NFS servers were not able to fully utilize the RPCSEC_GSS security protocol, which allows remote procedure call (RPC) protocols to access the Generic Security Services Application Programming Interface (GSS-API). With this update, the problems have been fixed in the libtirpc code. The RPCSEC_GSS protocol now can be used by NFS servers properly.
All users of libtirpc are advised to upgrade to this updated package, which fixes this bug.
