This section outlines the top new features for the Telemetry service.
- New Telemetry Meter Dispatcher Backend: Gnocchi
- The Telemetry service (ceilometer) now uses
gnocchias its default meter dispatcher backend. Gnocchi is more scalable and is more aligned to the future direction of the Telemetry service. In addition, the Gnocchi backend also disables the legacy Ceilometer API in favor of the newer Gnocchi API.
