Procedure 13.1. Creating the Telemetry Alarming Service Database

1. Connect to the database service:

   # mysql -u root -p

2. Create the aodh database:

   mysql> CREATE DATABASE aodh;

3. Create an aodh database user and grant the user access to the aodh database:

   mysql> GRANT ALL ON aodh.* TO 'aodh'@'%' IDENTIFIED BY 'AODH_PASSWORD';
   mysql> GRANT ALL ON aodh.* TO 'aodh'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED BY 'AODH_PASSWORD';

   Replace AODH_PASSWORD with a secure password that will be used to authenticate with the database server as this user.
4. Exit the mysql client:

   mysql> quit
