Now that you have some knowledge of automation in OpenShift, you’re ready to learn more about how to develop and manage applications using Red Hat® OpenShift® Service on AWS (ROSA). This resource includes several topic articles on understanding concepts specific to ROSA, including identity management and committed spend pricing structures.

Kubernetes on AWS
With Kubernetes on AWS, you have flexibility and control to configure and manage your deployment by yourself when developing. ROSA is a Kubernetes-based turnkey application platform that provides a managed Red Hat OpenShift service running natively on AWS.
What is identity and access management (IAM)?
IAM is a centralized and consistent way to manage user identities (i.e. people, services, and servers), automate access controls, and meet compliance requirements across traditional and containerized environments.
What is STS?
AWS’s Security Token Service (STS) uses predefined roles and policies to grant the AWS account service the minimal permissions needed in order to create and operate the cluster.
What is committed spend?
Committed spend is a term used to describe the value of products or services a customer agrees to purchase within a specific period of time, in exchange for qualifying products, technologies, or services, usually at a discount.
