Part IV. Upgrade Ceph Cluster on CentOS 6 to RHEL 7
If you have a Inktank Ceph Enterprise (ICE) v1.2.2 cluster running on CentOS 6 and you are planning to upgrade to Red Hat Ceph Storage (RHCS) v1.3 on RHEL 7, you need to have the following approach:
- Upgrade your cluster from v1.2.2 to v1.2.3 on CentOS 6
- Upgrade your OS from CentOS 6 to RHEL 6
- Upgrade your OS from RHEL 6 to RHEL 7
- Upgrade your cluster from v1.2.3 to v1.3 on RHEL 7
Note
ICE v1.2.2 can run on RHEL 7.0, but not on RHEL 7.1. So, we recommend to upgrade your cluster to 1.2.3 while on CentOS.
The sections given below will guide you to upgrade your ICE v1.2.2 cluster on CentOS 6.6 to RHCS v1.3 on RHEL 7.1.
