Configure Ansible Automation Platform
You can configure Ansible Automation Platform from the Settings menu by using the following selections:
- Subscriptions
- Platform gateway
- User Preferences
- Troubleshooting
The other selections available from the Settings menu are specific to automation execution.
- Configure subscriptions
You can use the Subscription menu to view the details of your subscription, such as compliance, host-related statistics, or expiry, or you can apply a new subscription. - Platform gateway
Platform gateway is the service that handles authentication and authorization for Ansible Automation Platform. It provides a single ingress into the Platform and serves the Platform’s user interface. - Enable OAuth2 token creation for external users
To enable external users to create OAuth2 tokens, change the appropriate setting in your Ansible Automation Platform environment. Ensure the implementation of compensating security controls after enabling this setting. - Configure miscellaneous options
From the platform gateway settings page, you can configure options for Insights, subscriptions, and notifications. - Understanding the platform gateway OpenAPI specification
Platform gateway serves as the single entry point for Ansible Automation Platform, unifying the user interface and routing all API traffic to services such as automation controller, Event-Driven Ansible, and automation hub. - Access the interactive documentation (Rendered access)
Platform gateway provides an interactive, rendered version of the OpenAPI specification accessible directly in a web browser. - Manage feature flags
Feature flags help you to manage your users’ experiences at a granular level by controlling access to Technology Preview and Developer Preview features in Ansible Automation Platform. - View feature flags in your user interface
If feature flags are enabled in your deployment, you can find more detailed information about the available feature flags in the Settings menu. - Feature flag access
Access to the feature flags page is role-based; in other words, access depends on the level of access a user has. - Review the feature flag display
Superusers and auditors can view additional information about available feature flags. - Enable or disable runtime feature flags
Runtime feature flags can be enabled or disabled from the UI. - User preferences
You can use the User preferences page to customize your platform experience. Use this menu to control theming, layout options and formatting.
