Create and remove a volume locally to validate that the block storage installation is complete and ready for use. Perform this test on the server hosting the Block Storage API service, while logged in as the
root user or a user with access to the keystonerc_admin file. Copy the keystonerc_admin file to the system before proceeding.

- Populate the environment variables used for identifying and authenticating the administrative user:
