Chapter 14. Red Hat Enterprise Linux Atomic Host 7.6.4

Red Hat Universal Base Images (UBI) are now available

With RHEL Atomic Host 7.6.4, Red Hat Universal Base Images (UBI) are newly available. For now, these UBIs are available: ubi7-init, ubi7-minimal, and ubi7, which are intended to substitute the rhel7-init, rhel7-atomic, and rhel-server images.

Additionally, a set of UBIs is now available that are intended to substitute some of the images currently provided through Red Hat Software Collections.

Unlike older Red Hat images, UBIs are freely redistributable. This means they can be used in any environment and shared anywhere. You can use them even if you are not a Red Hat customer.
