6.4. Starting the Heketi Pods


Execute the following commands on the client machine.
  1. Execute the following command to navigate to the project where the Heketi pods are running:
    # oc project <project_name>
    Copy to Clipboard Toggle word wrap
    For example:
    # oc project glusterfs
    Copy to Clipboard Toggle word wrap
  2. Execute the following command to get the DeploymentConfig:
    # oc get dc
    Copy to Clipboard Toggle word wrap
    For example:
    # oc get dc
    NAME                          REVISION   DESIRED   CURRENT   TRIGGERED BY
    glusterblock-provisioner-dc   1          1         1         config
    heketi                        1          1         1         config
    Copy to Clipboard Toggle word wrap
  3. Execute the following command to increase the replica count from 0 to 1. This brings back the Heketi pod:
    # oc scale dc <heketi_dc> --replicas=1
    Copy to Clipboard Toggle word wrap
  4. Execute the following command to verify that the Heketi pod is present:
    # oc get pods
    Copy to Clipboard Toggle word wrap
    For example:
    # oc get pods
    glusterblock-provisioner-dc-1-fc8sc   1/1       Running       0          3d
    glusterfs-bd6kv                       1/1       Running       0          2h
    glusterfs-vhpcw                       1/1       Running       1          1d
    glusterfs-z6nkk                       1/1       Running       0          1d
    heketi-1-6sccl                        1/1       Running       0          2h
