Chapter 2. New features and enhancements
Red Hat JBoss Web Server 5.7 Service Pack 8 includes the following new features and enhancements.
2.1. JWS for OpenShift image for OpenJDK 17
JBoss Web Server 5.7 Service Pack 8 introduces support for importing JWS for OpenShift images that are compatible with OpenJDK 17. In this release, you can import a jboss-webserver57-openjdk17-tomcat9-openshift-ubi8 image.
Note
As in previous releases, JBoss Web Server also provides JWS for OpenShift images that are compatible with OpenJDK 8 and OpenJDK 11.
2.2. Location changes for tomcat-websocket-chat quick start application
This release includes the following changes to the location of the example tomcat-websocket-chat quick start application that you can use with JWS for OpenShift:
