Testing frameworks for images built via Red Hat Lightspeed image builder
Building images for cloud deployments or on-premises servers provides a number of challenges. In this learning path by Gianluca Zuccarelli and Obinna Ezeakachi, we’ll explore how to use Red Hat Insights image builder to deploy pre-hardened images then monitor the systems with our compliance tool.
This learning path is for operations teams or system administrators

Testing frameworks for images built via Red Hat Lightspeed image builder
Overview
Building images for cloud deployments or on-premises servers provides a number of challenges. These include reducing the attack surface, ensuring the images are hardened, and monitoring their compliance on an ongoing basis. We will explore how Red Hat® Lightspeed (formerly Insights) can achieve what no other service can by leveraging Red Hat’s Open Hybrid cloud strategy.
In this learning path, you’ll learn how to build pre-hardened images using Lightspeed image builder. The subsequent resource will then cover how to monitor the system’s compliance using Lightspeed Compliance. We’ll then compare that monitoring approach to using custom-built testing frameworks leveraging tools such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) Security Hub.
