Prerequisites for Red Hat Lightspeed image builder

Before creating an image using Red Hat® Lightspeed (formerly Insights) image builder, you’ll need to have access to your Red Hat and Amazon Web Services (AWS) account details. You’ll use these to route your image to your target cloud environment(s). 

If you already have your account details ready, begin the image creation process on Red Hat Console.

Steps for meeting the prerequisites

  1. In the AWS console, your ID can be found in the Support Center.
  2. (Optional) If you have an active Red Hat subscription, you can register your instance by choosing the correct activation key from the dropdown menu within the Image Builder, under Subscriptions.  
  3. Open Red Hat Lightspeed image builder in the Hybrid Cloud Console and log in with your Red Hat credentials.

You are now ready to create your first image.
