13.2.3. Starting and Stopping SSSD
Important
Configure at least one domain before starting SSSD for the first time. See Section 13.2.10, “SSSD and Identity Providers (Domains)”.
Either the
service command or the /etc/init.d/sssd script can start SSSD. For example:
service sssd start
~]# service sssd start
By default, SSSD is not configured to start automatically. There are two ways to change this behavior:
- Enabling SSSD through the
authconfigcommand:authconfig --enablesssd --enablesssdauth --update
