7.2. Raising the Domain Level


Important
This is a non-reversible operation. If you raise the domain level from 0 to 1, you cannot downgrade from 1 to 0 again.

Command Line: Raising the Domain Level

  1. Log in as the administrator:
    $ kinit admin
    Copy to Clipboard
  2. Run the ipa domainlevel-set command and provide the required level:
    $ ipa domainlevel-set 1
    -----------------------
    Current domain level: 1
    -----------------------
    Copy to Clipboard

Web UI: Raising the Domain Level

  1. Select IPA Server Topology Domain Level.
  2. Click Set Domain Level.
