8.2. openCryptoki


The openCryptoki package has been updated to version 3.2. This update includes three main changes.
  • Hardware enablement for the IBM® zSeries architecture.
  • Hardware enablement for the IBM® Crypto Express4S (CEX4S) adapter.
  • New modes of operation are now supported
    • OFB (Output Feed Back mode) is a digital operation that turns a block cipher into a synchronous stream cipher.
      CFB (Cipher feedback mode) is an operation that makes a block cipher into a self-synchronizing stream cipher
      CBC-MAC (Cipher Block Chaining Message Authentication Code) for DES, TDES and AES
      SHA-2 based HMAC (Hash Message Authentication Code)
      Ability to sign and verify based on the SHA2 (hash algorithm) with an RSA signature
