Validations and certifications

Use this tab to validate your product on the supported Red Hat platform versions.

Procedure

  1. Click Start validation. The Product version dialog opens.
  2. In the Partner Product version field, enter your product version.
  3. For What Red Hat platforms are compatible with this version?, select either or both available options: Red Hat OpenShift and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
  4. Select the current Red Hat OpenShift or RHEL major and minor platform versions on which you want to validate your product, for example, 4.21.
  5. Select the Future OpenShift 4 versions (next 3 minor versions) check box if you want to validate your product on the next three future minor versions. For Red Hat Enterprise Linux, select the equivalent future-versions option.
  6. Click Save version. The Partner Product version and the supported Red Hat platforms appear under the Supported platforms tile.
  7. Under Validation type, select the option that applies to your product. The available options depend on your product type:
    1. For a Containerized Application:
    • Standard Containerized Application
    • CNF (Cloud-Native Network Function)
    • OpenShift Virtualization
    1. For a Standalone Application:
    • Standalone Application
    • OpenShift Virtualization
  8. Click Start questionnaire. Complete the Software Validation Questionnaire, and then click Submit to finish your validation.
  9. Optional: Click Update version matrix to modify the supported Red Hat platform minor versions.
  10. Click Next to proceed with product certification. After you submit the questionnaire, validation completes only after Red Hat approval. The Red Hat ecosystem team reviews and verifies the details that you entered.

When you create a partner validation, a Partner Product version is also added along with it. You must complete the validation before adding a new version. After Red Hat approves your submitted questionnaire, you can add a new version of your product as needed. If your product listing is already published, the new version is automatically published. You can edit and update existing versions as needed. However, after a validation has started for a version, you cannot remove that version.
